When seeking advice on a subject, we often look in the wrong places. The advice we get from others is often given without thought about the situation. Sometimes, advice is given by people who don't practice what they preach. When accepting advice from others, there are a few things we need to consider.

  • Does the person who is giving advice really care about you?
  • Have they been through the same situation?
  • How did they handle the situation?
  • What was the outcome of their situation?

Often times we can get good advice from parents and other family members who truly love us. We may also need professional help. The professionals have been trained in this field, and have no motive to do you harm. But the best advice you can get on any issue comes from the one who loves you even more than your parents. His name is JESUS CHRIST! and his advice is in the BIBLE!
